加热棒的工作原理 ：加热棒是一个密封容器，通电后棒内的电热丝产生热量被水体吸收，从而达到加温效果。加热棒内还带有一个温度感应器，当水体温度达到设置温度时，或加热棒内温度超过负荷时，加热棒会停止工作；水体温度低于设置温度时，加热棒又会重新启动。

缺点：不美观；不适合海水缸使用；金属表面温度较高，容易灼伤鱼儿；由于不锈钢的材质，基本不存在爆裂问题，但如果一旦不锈钢加热棒内的温控元件损坏时，加热棒会持续加热，其产生的热能量在棒内膨胀，爆发时，热能量冲开顶部的橡胶套，棒体如火箭一般，击穿玻璃甚至底柜(当然，这种事故的发生几率是相当低的，但是一旦发生，后果很严重)。

五、中高端加热棒的特别功能

1、离水自动断电 ：顾名思义，当加热棒的探头(一般在加热棒顶部)离开水体时，加热棒会自动停止工作，防止无水空烧。
